Book launch and discussion with Jan Cohen-Cruz, founder of Tisch Drama's Applied Theater minor program
“See Me” is a collection of intimate essays, each written by two or three people who connected profoundly in the temporary community of a prison theater workshop. The thread of different kinds of love runs through the book, beginning with the story that Finn K, an incarcerated participant, and Jan Cohen-Cruz, cofacilitator, tell about what they found in the collective context of a prison theater workshop in the early 1970s.
The audience will hear pre-recorded excerpts by other contributors, and participate in a brief exploratory exercise and a discussion.
